Revised Proposal & Target Audience

After further brainstorming and exploring my resources, the purpose of my Web site will now focus on explaining the experience one would have at Dance Marathon. Below is a list of the different pages I would include, and audience I would like to target.

Intro
- Video of count down to standing up at the event
- Fades into “DANCE MARATHON” (enter site)

Home
- What is Dance Marathon
- Slideshow of generic pictures from the event throughout the years

Line Dance
- Video of the 2009 line dance

Theme Hours
- List of example theme hours and description of each
- Explanation of getting tickets from participating in activities

Meal Time
- Names and/or logo from all the restaurants that donate food to the event
- List of all the meals at the 2009 event with the time they were served
- Pictures from meal area

Entertainment (?)
- List of bands that have performed at Dance Marathon
- Pictures

Miracle Stories
- Picture of children on stage at event telling their stories
- Caption for each picture with name of child and their illness (or brief synopsis of their story)
- Quotes from children about what DM means to them

Tips (from Former Dancers)
- Sound slide interview with Matt Michel, seven-year dancer, over pictures of him at Dance Marathon over the years
- Quotes from former (and multiple-year) dancers with advice for the event and suggestions about what to bring

Target Audience
- 18- to 24-year-old students at the University of Florida
- Students registered to participate in Dance Marathon (1,000+)
- Captains and staff who may or may not have participated in Dance Marathon (300+)
- Presidents and members of organizations who may be interested in participating in Dance Marathon and want to learn what the actual event is about
- Parents of students who participate in Dance Marathon
